Since starting in the early 1980’s as a one-man operation, WD Yards has grown into Grand Junction’s premier lawn care service serving the needs of thousands of homeowners in the valley for over 40 years. The epitome of the American dream, WD Christensen started off humbly mowing lawns in high school and later worked hard with his partner and father, David Christensen, to grow the company into its position as a leader in the lawn care industry. Branching out for the past 20 years, WD Yards has also moved into the field of Environmental Management. Local projects have stretched from one end of the valley to the other and include building local parks like Little Salt Wash in Fruita and Long Family Memorial Park at the east end of the valley. In addition, WD Yards has worked on reclamation projects reclaiming land from Wyoming to New Mexico and all through Utah. WD Yards has become an industry leader in this area and have earned a reputation as a company that can handle a wide scope of jobs with skill and alacrity.
